Retail Federation to Launch Security Info Platform

Tuesday, April 15, 2014 5:16:00 AM PDT | VentureDeal

Washington, DC  --  The National Retail Federation said that it is developing a new information sharing platform on cyber security threats.

Plans call for a bifurcated information system, one for retail industry information security specialists and one for a retail purpose, with both to be established by June, 2014.

The Information Sharing and Analysis Center (ISAC) promises to provide information that will help retailers in their fight against cyber attacks.

Senators Mark Warner (D-VA) and Mark Kirk (R-IL) earlier in the year jointly called for the establishment of an information sharing entity in a letter to the Federal Trade Commission.
