HID Global Touts Somalia As Latest Customer

   Austin, TX  --  Identity technology company HID Global announced that the Federal Republic of Somalia has launched two new security capabilities.

Using HID technology, the country will now require citizens to carry a new national ID card and an e-passport.

The ID card promises to improve security within Somalia's borders and the e-passport will facilitate international travel across border.

The electronic passport is compliant with ICAO standards.
