Modernizing Medicine Wins Techweek Launch Competition

   Boca Raton, Florida  --  Electronic medical record technology company Modernizing Medicine won the later-stage eMerge Techweek Launch Competition.

Modernizing Medicine has created what it calls its Electronic Medical Assistant (EMA), a specialty-specific electronic medical record system that contains a large library of built-in medical content.

The application is available via any Web-enabled Mac or PC, as well as a native iPad application.

Modernizing Medicine was awarded $100,000 in cash and in-kind services and was founded in 2010.

The company is backed by venture capital firms such as Summit Partners (Mark deLaar) and the Pentland Group.
