OpenStack Marketplace Launches To Support Ecosystem

   Atlanta, Georgia  --  The OpenStack Marketplace announced its formal launch on Monday, May 12, 2014.

The purposes of the initiative is to provide organizations with resources to build or maintain OpenStack clouds.

According to an OpenStack user survey, the top reasons for choosing OpenStack products are, "the flexibility of underlying technology choices, absence of vendor lock-in, and an open ecosystem."

The marketplace is launching with five initial categories: Public Clouds, Training, Consulting & Systems Integrators, Distributions and Appliances, and Drivers.

The OpenStack Summit is currently in progress in Atlanta, Georgia.
