St. Louis, Missouri  --  Emerson Climate Technologies has announced the launch of a new connected home HVAC service.

Called ComfortGuard Monitoring Service, the service enables homeowners to manage their heating and cooling costs by providing real-time information that reduces energy usage and potentially predicts problems.

The company says that most homeowners are unaware of how inefficient their system is and have little or no warning before it stops working.

The system utilizes 10 sensors to collect and transmit data over a Wi-Fi connection every time the HVAC system runs and performs a 32 point inspection.  The results are communicated to the ComfortGuard team which analyzes the data before alerting the homeowner.

Monitoring packages start at $9.99 per month with a one time fee for installation.
