Airex Energy Collects $3 Million Seed Venture Capital

   Laval, Canada  --  Alternative energy technology company Airex Energy has secured $3 million in seed stage venture capital financing.

Airex is developing new technologies for biomass torrefaction to create large-scale biocoal production from a variety of feedstock, including woody biomass and agricultural waste.

Desjardins Venture Capital and other undisclosed investors made the investment.

The company said it would use the new funding to build and operate a new demonstration plant as a showcase for its CarbonFX biocoal technology.
