HackerOne Collects Series A Venture Capital

   San Francisco, California  --  Security technology company HackerOne has raised $9 million in its first round of institutional venture capital funding.

HackerOne is developing software that helps enterprises discover and prevent security bugs in their software.

Benchmark Capital made the investment, with partner Bill Gurley representing the firm on HackerOne's Board of Directors.

Specific proceeds purposes were not disclosed by the company.
