SOOMLA Reaches 20 Million Installations

   Tel Aviv, Israel  -- Open source mobile company SOOMLA said its framework has reached the 20 million install milestone.

The company said its success is due to identifying a need in the mobile game development market for open-source software tools for in-App purchases.

SOOMLA cited the game "Make it Rain" as helping it to gain momentum.  The game, developed by Plunge Interactive, was launched April 1 and reached the top position in the Apple App Store by May.

Additionally, company CEO Yaniv Nizan said that using an open source strategy was critical, since developers would not have trusted a "black box" for the virtual economy core their game development.
