Volvo Launches WirelessCar Initiative

   Stockholm, Sweden  --  Car manufacturer Volvo has announced the launch of a new wireless service platform for North America.

Called WirelessCar, Volvo On Call is now standard on all Volvo cars sold in the US and Canada.

The new technology enables Volvo to provide safety and security services such as:  Emergency-Call, Remote Door Unlock, Theft Notification, Stolen Vehicle Tracking and Immobilization.

Volvo says it now provides telematics services in nearly 20 countries.
