Female Inventors Compete In The Icebox Derby

   Chicago, Illinois  --  ComEd has partnered with Girls4Science, the Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana and the Chicago Urban League on a new innovation initiative.

Called The Icebox Derby, the six week challenge will include 31 aspiring female inventors who want to turn recycled refrigerators into electric race cars.

ComEd is supporting the initiative as part of its commitment to STEM education.

On August 23, the teams will compete in a final race for a STEM Cup trophy.
