DigitalGlobe To Launch Satellite In 2016

   Longmont, Colorado  --  Geospatial technology company DigitalGlobe (NYSE: DGI) has announced that it will launch a second satellite, in 2016.

Called WorldView-4, the satellite is designed to provide imagery with resolution of up to 30 centimeters.

DGI said that it is scheduling the launch in order to satisfy customer demand.

The company recently received approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce to sell imagery of up to 25 centimeters.
