MitraSpan Snags Venture Capital Equity

   Belmont, Massachusetts  --  Biotechnology company MitraSpan has secured $2.2 million in venture capital equity investment, according to an SEC regulatory filing.

MitraSpan is developing as yet unspecified technologies for the surgical device field.

Investors in the financing were not disclosed, nor was how the company intends to use the funding proceeds.

MitraSpan is still seeking nearly $4.5 million in additional financing, according to the filing.
