AltspaceVR Lands Seed Venture Capital

   Redwood City, California  --  Virtual reality technology company AltspaceVR has raised $5.2 million in seed stage venture capital funding.

AltspaceVR is developing virtual technologies to help "connect friends and enthusiasts in shared virtual spaces."

Investors in the round included Google Ventures, Foundation Capital and others.

The company said it would use the funding to continue product development and to build out its team.
