Roku Touts Streaming Users and Hours Success

   Saratoga, California  --  Television streaming player company Roku said that it has sold 10 million of its players in the United States since its May, 2008 unveiling.

The device enables users to stream Netflix and other entertainment channels.

In addition, the company said that its player is the most popular choice among consumers, accounting for 37 million hours of video streamed per week, compared to Apple TV at 15 million hours and Chromecast at 12 million hours.

Roku was founded by Anthony Wood, inventor of the digital video recorder (DVR).
