HitPoint Raises $2 Million Venture Funding

   Springfield, Massachusetts  --  Digital media technology company HitPoint has received $2 million in growth venture capital funding.

HitPoint says that it is the largest independent game studio in the state of Massachusetts.

The company designs social, mobile and casual online games.

The Springfield Angel Network led the round, which also included River Valley Investors and other undisclosed investors.

The company said it would use the investment to "double down on the growth of our existing titles and leverage our background to build something that we think will be disruptive."
