Lifecode Launches Sequencing-based Oncology Assay

   Foster City, California  --  Lifecode, f.k.a. Silicon Valley Biosystems, announced its name change and the launch of a new addition to its flagship product line.

Called the Pan Cancer Somatic Panel (PCSP), the assay is part of a portfolio of cancer assays that utilize proprietary algorithms, custom annotation and duration tools and a variety of machine learning techniques.

The company has released the assay to a select group of physicians nationwide as part of a pilot test.

Lifecode said it would broadly launch the comprehensive tumor profile technology later this spring.

Lifecode is focused on developing NGS-based cancer assays through what it calls "novel engineering solutions for big data challenges and clinical genomics."
