Sling TV To Launch Streaming TV Service

   Englewood, Colorado  --  DISH Network (NASDAQ: DISH) subsidiary Sling TV said that it will launch a new over-the-top television service in the first quarter of 2015 as an Internet-based online service.

The new service will provide a variety of sports, lifestyle, family, news and information channels for $20 per month.

The company says that the service will not require a commitment, contract, credit check or hardware installation.

Sling TV will enable consumers to watch its programming on any broadband-connected device and smart television sets.

The core package includes ESPN, ESPN2, TNT, TBS, Food Network, HDTV, Travel Channel, Adult Swim, Cartoon Network, Disney Channel, ABC Family and CNN.

Sling said it expects to expand its core package with additional options throughout 2015.
