Nanomedical Diagnostics Nets Series A Funds

   San Diego, California  --  Nanomedical Diagnostics has received $1.6 million in its Series A round of venture capital investment.

Nanomedical says that its "AGILE Technology leverages next-generation nanotechnology to link biology directly with electronics."

The company states that the net result will be greater speed, accuracy, cost savings and portability.

Serra Ventures led the round, which included other undisclosed investors.

Nanomedical said it would use the funding to continue commercialization of its AGILE Research system.
