Cerecor Goes Public With Modest IPO

   Baltimore, Maryland  --  Biopharmaceutical technology company Cerecor (NASDAQ: CERCU) has floated its initial public offering (IPO).

Cerecor is focused on commercializing "prescription pharmaceuticals whose primary activity is in the human brain."

The company says that it has developed a process for identifying in advancing compounds for underserved segments of neurological and psychiatric diseases.

$26 million was raised in gross proceeds in the offering.

Cerecor said it would use the funding to support its operations, to fund the costs of its phase 2 clinical development of CERC-301 and to advance its pipeline of lead candidates under its COMTi platform.
