Cymax Collects Series A Venture Financing

   Reston, Virginia  --  Internet furniture retailer Cymax has closed its first outside round of major venture capital investment.

Cymax says that it is one of the "fastest growing online furniture retailers with annual sales exceeding US $100 million."

The company boasts more than 75,000 furniture SKUs and sells to both residential and office markets.

The Series A round was in the amount of $25 million. BDC Venture Capital and Salman Partners made the investment.

Cymax did not specify exactly how the funding proceeds would be used.
