Akanda Adds Venture Capital Debt

   San Francisco, California  --  IT company Akanda has received $630,000 in new venture capital debt investment, according to an SEC regulatory filing.

Akanda provides a management and orchestration platform to help developers "monitor, configure and manage third-party virtualized routers, load balancers and firewalls."

The company says that it is the only open source network virtualization solution built for real OpenStack clouds.

Investors in the financing were not disclosed, nor was how the company intends to use the funding proceeds.

CEO Henrik Rosendahl Co-founded the firm in November 2014.
