Other software-enabled industries were highly represented, such as Mobile, IT, Digital Media and Security.
In the life sciences, Medical Devices and Biotechnology tied for top honors at seven transactions, with Pharmaceuticals trailing at four transactions during the period.
Nascent industries for venture capital investment are starting to show activity. Education and Healthcare Services accounted for four and three transactions respectively.
