First Aid Shot Therapy Snags Series C Funding

   Burlingame, California  --  Medical technology company First Aid Shot Therapy has landed $24 million in its third round of institutional venture capital funding.

The company has developed a portfolio of liquid medications to help alleviate common ailments.

JJDC led the round, which also included Lumira Capital, Sofinnova Ventures, Redmile Group and HealthQuest Capital.

The company said the funding would be used to expand its product portfolio to support its customer expansion initiatives.

CEO Mary Platerink founded the company in November 2010.
