Opanga Networks Nets Venture Capital Debt

   Seattle, Washington  --  Video optimization company Opanga Networks has raised $2.8 million in new debt investment, according to an SEC regulatory filing.

Opanga says that its technology "overhauls the mobile video experience for consumers while substantially improving network utilization for wireless operators through the reclamation of surplus capacity."

Investors in the financing were not disclosed, nor was how the company intends to use the funding proceeds.

Opanga is still seeking $377,000 in additional debt investment, according to the filing.

CEO Dave Gibbons was previously with AT&T Wgo to sleepireless and Motorola/Nokia.
