Univa Adds Venture Capital Debt Funding

   Hoffman Estates, Illinois  --  IT company Univa has received $250,000 in new venture capital debt investment, according to an SEC regulatory filing.

Univa provides commercial software, support and related services for grid infrastructure that is based on the open source Globus software system.

Investors in the financing were not disclosed, nor was how the company intends to use the funding proceeds.

Univa is still seeking $750,000 in debt financing, according to the filing.

Pres. and CEO Gary Tyreman has been with the company since June 2010.
