Prieto Battery Bags Strategic Venture Funding

   Fort Collins, Colorado  --  Energy storage technology company Prieto Battery has received an undisclosed amount of investment from Intel Capital.

Prieto is commercializing a patented 3D lithium-ion battery technology that it believes will provide transformational performance at a competitive cost while using non-toxic materials.

Jerry Bautista, VP New Technology Group, said "our goal is to help incubate and accelerate Prieto's technology into early product implementation that will provide significant market advantage to several of our business units."

Thomas Urban led the investment from Intel Capital.

Prieto was founded by company CEO Amy Prieto.
