Natick, Massachusetts  --  Electronics technology company Aila Technologies has secured $4.5 million in new venture capital investment, according to a company statement.

Aila has developed a suite of in-store tablet technologies that help to provide improved experiences for customers of brick and mortar retail environments.

The company says that its products are "changing the way brands and customers interact."

Romulus Capital made the investment.

Aila did not say how the funding proceeds would be used. Since its products are in the marketplace, presumably the funds will be used for its sales and marketing initiatives.

The company was co-founded by CEO Jason Gulbinas and CTO Matthew Kowalczyk in May, 2010.
