Honolulu, Hawaii -- Nanotechnology company Adama Materials has raised $850,000 in new equity investment, according to an SEC regulatory filing.
Adama is developing advanced materials at the intersection of nano-materials, synthetic chemistry, polymers and mechanics.
The company says that new materials possibilities include better flame retardants, abrasion resistant parts, glass fiber replacements and gas barriers.
It recently invented formulations to create different resins that make them and their related compounds it's twice as tough.
Investors in the financing were not disclosed, nor was how the company intends to use the funding proceeds.
