Betterment Banks $60 Million Growth Capital

   New York, New York  --  Financial services technology company Betterment has raised $60 million in growth stage venture capital investment.

Betterment operates an online, automated mutual fund investment service for retail investors.

Francisco Partners led the round, which included previous investors Bessemer Venture Partners, Menlo Ventures and Northwestern Mutual Capital.

The company said it would use the funding to grow its asset base and add 30 new employees in 2015.

Betterment had previously raised $45 million in venture capital investment.
