AltaThera Pharma Receives Venture Capital Equity

   Chicago, Illinois  --  AltaThera Pharmaceuticals has secured $500,000 in venture capital equity investment, according to an SEC regulatory filing.

AltaThera is developing therapies for "those with severe, and often rare, disorders for which few effective treatments are available."

Investors in the financing were not disclosed, nor was how the company intends to use the proceeds.

AltaThera is still seeking $500,000 in additional financing, according to the filing.

The company was incubated at the Matter accelerator in Chicago.
