CoverHound Catches Series B Venture Capital

   San Francisco, California  --  Insurance industry technology company CoverHound has received $14 million in its second round of institutional venture capital investment.

CoverHound helps consumers of insurance easily compare insurance options and costs online.

The investor syndicate included RRE Ventures, Blumberg Capital, Core Innovation Capital, Route 66 Ventures, Bullpen Capital, Tugboat Ventures, American Family Ventures and others.

The company said it would use the funding to support its integrations with large marketing partnerships.

In addition the company will hire engineers and more staff for its insurance agency operation center in Southern California.
