Microsoft and Imagine Preview Premium Encoder

   Dallas, Texas  --  Imagine Communications and Microsoft released a public preview of a new content streaming solution.

Called the Azure Media Services Premium Encoder, the cloud-based system provides on-demand workflows to generate global multiscreen deployments of broadcast-quality content.

The new offering  promises to assist media companies in "transitioning to a future network architecture that is defined by IP, software and the cloud."

The system combines automated decision-making logic and advanced metadata processing with a studio quality processing engine to streamline common workflow challenges.

Also included in the application is a graphical workflow design tool to enable developers to create parallel tasks and customize media processing.
