Santa Monica, California  --  Internet pet-sitting services company DogVacay has announced the launch of a new offering.

Called Daycare, the service provides a way for pet owners to ensure their pets are cared for while they are at work or otherwise away from home for an extended period during the day.

DogVacay hosts will be able to display their service rates specifically for this new type of service, which the company says reduces separation anxiety and results in a happier dog.

The company says it has more than 20,000 "vetted and insured sitters across the US and Canada."

DogVacay has raised more than $47 million in venture capital financing to date.
