Loop Commerce Links Up With $16 Million

   Menlo Park, California  --  Ecommerce technology company Loop Commerce has landed $16 million in growth stage venture capital funding.

Loop says that it was "born from a feeling of frustration with the online gift-buying experience."

As a result, the company has developed technologies specifically designed for shopping for someone else rather than for oneself.

Investors in the round included Wicklow Capital and individual investor Oren Zeev.

Loop said it would use the funding to accelerate its growth initiatives and hire employees in engineering, data, sales and marketing, product and design roles.
