VarageSale Raises Growth Venture Capital

   Toronto, Canada  --  Internet technology company VarageSale has secured $34 million in growth stage venture capital investment.

VarageSale has built a website and service that enables users to "buy, sell and connect with your local community."

Investors in the financing were Lightspeed Venture Partners (Jeremy Liew) and Sequoia Capital (Bryan Schreier).

The company said it would use the funding for continued product development, community growth and expansion of its Toronto team.

The company was cofounded by current CEO Carl Mercier.
