New York, New York  --  Internet technology company Campus Job has received $7.8 million in its first round of institutional venture capital investment.

Campus Job aims to connect students with part-time jobs during their school years.

Businesses can post a job for free and students can browse through jobs and apply for free.

General Catalyst Partners led the round, which also included Index Ventures, SV Angel, Slow Ventures, Box Group and Lerer Hippeau Ventures.

The company said the funding would be used to grow its team, with a focus on sales and engineering hires.
