Bone Biologics Banks $2 Million Venture Funding

   Edison, New Jersey  --  Biotechnology company Bone Biologics has received $2 million in development stage funding.

Bone Bio is commercializing a technology it licensed from UCLA to assist in creating bone formation without undesirable side effects such as ectopic bone growth or cyst formation.

Hankey Capital made the investment.

The company said it would use the funding to continue development in preparation for human clinical trials for its regenerative bone treatment.

Bone Bio was founded in 2004 by Dr. Eric Tang, chairman of The UCLA Department of Surgery.
