Arcadia Data Secures Series A Equity

   San Mateo, California  --  Software technology company Arcadia Data has received $11.5 million in its Series A round of institutional venture capital funding.

Arcadia says that it builds the industry's "only Unified Visual Analytics NBI Platform for big data."

The company stated that it was founded on the mission to connect business users to Hadoop.

Mayfield Fund led the round, which included other undisclosed investors.

The company said it would use the funding to expand its sales, product and marketing teams.
