8tracks Nets Venture Capital Debt

   San Francisco, California  --  Internet technology company 8tracks has received $2.5 million in new venture capital debt investment.

8tracks has created what it calls "handcrafted Internet radio".

The service provides people with the ability to discover and share music through short playlists containing at least 8 tracks.

Silicon Valley Bank made the credit facility.

The company said it will use the funds to grow its product and engineering teams.
