Walgreens Launches Apple Watch App

Tuesday, June 9, 2015 5:01:00 AM PDT | VentureDeal

Deerfield, Illinois  --  Retailer Walgreens announced the launch of a new application for the Apple Watch platform.

The Walgreens App was designed to "help patients manage their medications, whether it is a simple, once-daily reminder or multiple complex drug regimens."

The watch app works in tandem with the users Pill Reminders inside the company's iPhone application.

In addition, Apple's alerts will allow the user to note that a medication has been taken or skipped and to determine which medications are to be taken next.

The app will also predict when medication will run low and provide users with a simple method to initiate a refill.
