Bio2 Medical Raises $4 Million New Venture Equity

   San Antonio, Texas  --  Medical device company Bio2 Medical has received $4 million in new venture capital equity funding, according to an SEC regulatory filing.

Bio2 is developing medical devices for the treatment of pulmonary embolism.

Investors in the financing were not disclosed, nor was how the company intends to use the proceeds.

Bio2 is still seeking $6 million in additional financing, according to the filing.

The company was co-founded by Chairman and CEO Christopher Banas in 2006.
