HomeSend And Azimo Launch Mobile Money Services

   London, UK  --  HomeSend and Azimo jointly announced the launch of a new mobile wallet service in 10 countries throughout Africa and the Asia-Pacific region.

Under the system, Azimo customers will be able to send money directly to recipients mobile money account via the HomeSend global remittance hub.

The remittance hub "bridges the gap between various entities globally such as financial institutions, non-financial entities and mobile network operators."

The new payment system promises to make it more convenient for users to transfer money rather than having to go to an over-the-counter agent or directly to a bank account.

The companies said that the World Bank estimates that the global remittance market will grow to $586 billion in 2015.
