GoodWorld Raises Seed Venture Funding

   Washington, DC  --  Financial services company GoodWorld has received $1.7 million in seed stage venture capital funding.

GoodWorld has developed an online service that "empowers donors to give and raise money for their favorite causes on social media."

The company makes it easy to donate through things as simple as "writing donate in a Facebook comment or in a Twitter tweet."

Nyca Partners led the round, which included other undisclosed investors.

The company did not say how it would use the funding proceeds.
