Rocket Lab Launches Online Space Launch Service

   Logan, Utah  --  Micro-satellite launch technology company Rocket Lab has announced the debut of a system for booking satellite launches online.

The new system will allow CubeSat customers to request a booking on the company's Electron orbital vehicle.

CubeSats are satellites that can be configured to be as small as 100 mm x 100 mm cube and weigh less than 2 kg.

Rocket Lab said that the cost for a 1 unit cube satellite launch is $50,000-$90,000 and for 3 units is between $180,000-$250,000.

Pricing is determined by available space and proximity to the launch date.

The company has a launching facility located in New Zealand and launches payloads into Sun-synchronous and 45° orbits.
