QD Vision Banks Venture Capital Investment

   Lexington, Massachusetts  --  Electronics technology company QD Vision has secured $6.6 million in equity investment, according to an SEC regulatory filing.

QD has developed what it calls Color IQ optics which produce "brilliant, vibrant color for LCD TVs, LCD monitors and mobile device displays."

The company's technologies utilize a new class of nanomaterials that it calls "quantum dots".

Investors in the financing were not disclosed, nor was how the company intends to use the proceeds.

QD is still seeking $2 million in additional financing, according to the filing.
