AgBiome Bags Series B Venture Capital

   Research Triangle Park, North Carolina  --  Agriculture research technology company AgBiome has landed $34.5 million in its second round of institutional venture capital financing.

AgBiome provides discovery and research services for agricultural applications.

The company says that its platform allows it to efficiently capture and screen the most diverse and unique microbial collection for agricultural applications.

The large investor syndicate included the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Monsanto and Syngenta Ventures.

The company said it would use the funding proceeds to advance its research and development programs that support the launch of its first products.
