EquityZen Lands Series A Investment

   New York, New York  --  Financial service provider EquityZen has received $3.5 million in Series A investment, according to an SEC regulatory filing.

EquityZen says that it "connects shareholders of private companies with investors seeking alternative investments."

The company works with startup companies to help employees unlock the value of their equity-based compensation.

Investors in the financing were not disclosed, nor was how the company intends to use the funding proceeds.

EquityZen's CEO is Atish Davda, previously of Ampush, Knolsoft and AQR Capital Management.
