San Francisco, California  --  Mobile software developer Skillz has secured $15 million in its second round of institutional venture capital funding.

Skillz has developed mobile games, shopping apps and what it calls the world's first mobile self-checkout system.

The company is active in the eSports development space and aims to make "eSports for Everyone".

Wildcat Capital Management led the round, which included The Kraft Group, Sequoia Capital and prominent individual investors.

Skillz says that it plans to use the new capital to market its platform and launch live events technology.
