Acquia Accepts $55 Million Growth Venture Capital

   Burlington, Massachusetts  --  Software technology developer Acquia has secured $55 million in new venture capital growth investment.

Acquia provides value-added software and services based on the Drupal web collaboration and publishing platform.

The company also introduced its Developer Center, which includes free tools, how to and best practices, documentation and developer events.

Centerview Capital Technology led the round which included previous investors New Enterprise Associates, Split Rock Partners and others.

Acquia said it would use the funding to scale its operations, sales and marketing efforts worldwide as well as continue developing solutions for the marketplace.
