Authorea Lands $1 Million In New Venture Equity

   New York, New York  --  Software developer Authorea has secured $1 million in new equity venture capital funding, according to an SEC regulatory filing.

Authorea has developed a collaboration tool for writing in managing documents by scholars.

The company says its software "makes it easy to write technical documents" and track changes accordingly.

Investors in the financing were not disclosed, nor was how the company intends to use the funding proceeds.

A total of nine investors participated in the offering.

Authorea is still seeking $469,000 in additional financing, according to the filing.
